Department of Automation and Robotics is started by the institute from A. Y. 2021-22 with a UG program of intake capacity of 60. This program is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and Affiliated to the Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. Automation and Robotics Engineering is a field of engineering that deals with the design and creation of robots. They use computers to manipulate and process robotic actions. These robots are then used in manufacturing industries, Process industries, Agriculture, Aerospace, hazardous areas, space missions, telecommunications, missiles, defence, education, houses, offices, security systems, restaurants, cleaning operations, hospitals for medical surgeries & health applications , assistance in most of applications using drone technology. Automation and Robotics is an interdisciplinary branch which includes various fields of Engineering like Mechanical, Electronics. Computer Science, Instrumentation and Control, Industrial Automation , Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning, Nanotechnology , Bio Engineering, Machine Vision and many more. This course enriches the students with knowledge related to design, development, construction, operation and applications of robots as well as the techniques of industrial automation.

There are numerous job profile roles for Automation and Robotics Engineer which are Software Development Engineer, Aerospace Robotics Engineer, Robot Design Engineers, Automated Product Designer, Senior Robotics Specialist, Process Engineer, and Quality Engineer etc. The department of Automation and Robotics is established to meet the growing demands for trained engineers in the field of Automation and Robotics. This branch includes the study of Mechanics, material and mechanisms, force and motion analysis, sensors, controllers, drives, automation using computer programming, artificial intelligence, machine learning, lot etc.
